Somewhere between Saturday-morning cartoons and building with AI, I became the Unc. I’m a husband, dad, collector, and founder who still gets excited about games, gadgets, and trading cards—even if my knees have different plans.
The nickname stuck.
Modern Unc started with a nickname from younger coworkers. What began as a joke felt like a pretty good description: a little more life experience, and still plenty to learn.
This is where I share the real-life stuff, the fun projects, and a few things I’ve picked up along the way. There’s room for dad life, collecting nostalgia, building businesses, and being taught something new by someone younger.
Getting older without getting outdated.
I like making things, figuring things out, and keeping the parts of childhood that are still fun. I also get things wrong. The journal is a place for the useful lessons and the entertaining ones.
